Wedding Planning Guide - Checklist

A Noble House Hotels & Resorts wedding means complete attention to detail and a desire to see your dreams come true. Take advantage of our wedding planning checklist to ensure every aspect of your wedding is seen through. It may seem overwhelming, but you can rest easy knowing your Wedding Specialist is by your side, striving to grant your every wish.

Vendors

  • If you have already chosen any vendors, provide us with a list of their names and contact information.
  • If you’ve had no luck choosing vendors, let us know. All of our properties have vendor lists and experienced input. Many properties even offer on site florists, decorations, equipment and professional design services.

Rehearsal

  • Set the date and time for your rehearsal. This usually takes place a day or two before the wedding.
  • Choose whether you’d like the rehearsal to be held as a dinner, cocktail party or other event. This is a wonderful opportunity to entertain and thank your wedding party and close friends and relatives who have traveled from afar to share your special day.
  • Create your rehearsal guest list. Mandatory attendees should include all members of the wedding party, the official and your Wedding Specialist. Other attendees might include relatives and close friends not included in the wedding party.

Pre-Ceremony

  • Designate an area for the groom to get ready.
  • Set times for pictures to be taken.
  • Decide if the bride and groom will see each other before the wedding. If they decide not to, make sure their paths don’t accidentally cross!
  • Should you so desire, designate a holding room for the bridesmaids and groomsmen.

Ceremony

  • Determine the ambiance you desire, and what feeling you want derived from the ceremony.
  • Music preference: would you like a particular playlist or certain songs incorporated? Designate order, time, importance, etc.
  • Write down any special additions you have always dreamed of. A unique entrance, a special escape, a firework display, the incorporation of a family tradition or piece of memorabilia: all important components our Wedding Specialists need to know!
  • Create a list of the wedding party by order of appearance. Will Grandma Sue, escorted by your cousin Sal, be the first of your wedding party down the aisle? Be sure to include names, relation and wedding title.

Reception

  • Consider seating for your guests based off of how many you have invited or expect to come.
  • Decide on a menu, whether it be tray-passed items, culinary stations, a seated meal, or a combination of the aforementioned.
  • Design a cake with your Wedding Specialist and our culinary team.
  • Designate whether you would like an open bar, dry reception, etc. Don’t forget to indicate your signature drink (should you choose to have one) and remember to include non-alcoholic options for those not drinking.
  • If your reception will be themed be sure to relay your ideas and desires to your Wedding Specialist to ensure proper incorporation into the decorations.
  • Indicate any special lighting requirements.
  • Determine what type of entertainment you would like to provide. Music can be live, played at random, DJ’d, etc. What songs are important? Designate order, importance, special announcements before, which will be your first dance, which will be your father/daughter dance, etc.
  • Gifts should be routed to a certain area, like a gift table or holding area.
  • Seat assignment can be made by place cards, a seating host or by other means. Don’t forget to figure out a system that avoids confusing your guests.
  • Create your timeline: introductions, the first dance, blessings and toasts, the cake cutting, flower and guarder toss, etc.

Post-Wedding

  • Some couples choose to have a brunch or breakfast the following morning. Will you?
  • Let us know if you need assistance in carefully packing your wedding dress.
  • Recruit and verify help to transport your gifts home.
  • If you need assistance arranging travel from your hotel to your honeymoon location, let us know.
